The Breakers have restricted the Sydney Kings to 29 second-half points - winning the first sudden death game on their path to a spot in the Australian basketball league playoffs proper

New Zealand's turned around a nine point halftime deficit in Sydney to win 83-76 led by import Parker Jackson-Cartwright who had a season-high 34 points.

The Breakers staged the upset without Anthony Lamb and despite Will McDowell-White and Zylan Cheatham needing to overcome fitness issues of their own.

Coach Mody Maor says even down at halftime he believed they'd win.

Next up - Illawarra in Wollongong on Monday after they lost to Tasmania.
