    The Tall Ferns have fallen 88-64 to Montenegro in their opening game of the FIBA World Cup pre-qualifiers in Mexico


    The New Zealand side next face hosts Mexico on Thursday afternoon.

    The winner of the eight-team tournament advances to the next stage of qualifying for the World Cup being held in 2026.
