New Tall Blacks coach Judd Flavell is hopeful he can reconnect with Steven Adams and entice him to join the national team in the future

The Houston Rockets centre has never played for Aotearoa, citing a falling out with Basketball New Zealand over a lack of financial help when he was an age-group player.

While he's never coached Adams, Flavell has kept tabs on the 31-year-old over the years.
