Basketball's NBA have confirmed another change to their All-Star game in a bid to reverse waning interest in the annual fixture

Commissioner Adam Silver says next year will feature some form of a United States team against a Rest of the World side.

This year viewership dropped 13 per cent to the event's second-lowest TV audience in 25 years, despite a change to four teams playing a three-game mini-tournament.

The move to bring a stronger international flavour to the game comes with non-American basketballers winning the league's Most Valuable Player award for the past seven years.
