The Australian basketball league's set a deadline of 48 hours to decide if a champion will be crowned

That follows the cancellation of the competition's finals series between the Perth Wildcats and the Sydney Kings.

The Wildcats were up 2-1 with two games remaining.

Kings chairman Paul Smith says the players' safety should not be put at risk for the benefit of others.
