Pakistan have suffered a major blow ahead of the Boxing Day cricket test with fast bowler Khurram Shahzad ruled out for the remainder of the series

After impressing with five wickets on Test debut in Perth last week, scans have revealed Shahzad has a stress fracture in his 10th rib, as well as an abdominal muscle tear.

Pakistan have lost their last 15 Tests in Australia, last winning back in 1995 at the SCG.
