    Another chance for boxer Jerome Pampellone to earn his shot at a world title


    The light heavyweight out of Auckland's Peach Boxing has been locked in to fight Australian-based Irishman Conor Wallace in an eliminator for the IBF belt in Sydney later next month.

    Pampellone's coming off another IBF world title eliminator - suffering his first pro loss in a majority decision defeat to Libya's Malik Zinad in April.

    Zinad went on to lose a title challenge against Russian star Dmitri Bivol .

    28-year-old Wallace has a 13-and-1 pro record - his lone defeat coming early in 2021.
