    Kiwi middleweight Andrei Mikhailovich has suffered a shock split decision loss to Australian Blake Wells in Newcastle


    The 27-year-old went into the bout as clear favourite, but after six rounds, the judges ruled in favour of Wells.

    Mikhailovich now has a 21-2 professional record, having lost his last bout to Janibek Alimkhanuly in a world title fight last year.
