Former Australian test opener Matthew Hayden has been recruited to Pakistan's staff for cricket's Twenty20 World Cup

Former Australian test opener Matthew Hayden has been recruited to Pakistan's staff for cricket's Twenty20 World Cup

A void in the set-up has been created when coach Misbah-ul-Haq and bowling assistant Waqar Younis stepped down ahead of the New Zealand series, citing Covid bubble fatigue.

New board chairman Ramiz Raja wants Hayden to add aggression to the mix.

It's unknown whether Hayden will also bring his nutritional advice which he credited as the key to helping Australia in 2004 against India on the sub-continent.
