An Australian has parted with more than half a million dollars to secure one of Sir Don Bradman's test cricket caps

An Australian has parted with more than half a million dollars to secure one of Sir Don Bradman's test cricket caps

The baggy green cap worn by Bradman in Australia's 1947-48 home summer against India has sold at auction for more than 520-thousand dollars.

The sum is less than half raised when Shane Warne's cap was sold in aid of emergency services responding to the 2020 bushfires, which was bought by the Commonwealth Bank for more than a million dollars.

The test cricketers of Bradman's era wore a different cap for each series - Warne only wore the one cap in his 145 tests.
