A bleak start to the Middlesex club cricket season for the Richmond fourth XI

A bleak start to the Middlesex club cricket season for the Richmond fourth XI

They were bowled out for two in 34 balls, chasing 427 to beat their North London counterparts.

The situation could have been worse... one run came via a wide, and the other when a slip catch was spilt.

Number nine Rafiqul Haque was player-of-the-day on nought not out.

The crick-tastrophe was put down to an unavailability crisis on a bank holiday weekend - about 40 players across five teams had better things to do.
