Talks are ramping up between New Zealand Cricket and Pakistan about playing their postponed matches

The Black Caps' limited overs tour of Pakistan in September was called off at the last minute due to a security threat.

NZC chief executive David White says they are committed to playing those fixtures.

Earlier this week Cricket Australia announced their men's team will tour Pakistan next year for the first time since 1998.



There's one NPC rugby obstacle Otago are determined to overcome, one they've failed to clear since the two-division format began.

Otago face Manawatu in Palmerston North this evening for a spot in the championship final.

Despite making the semi finals in eight of the last nine seasons, they've never won a championship.
