    Australian batting all-rounder Cam Green has been named player of the match following the 172-run first test thumping of New Zealand in Wellington


    Spinner Nathan Lyon returned match figures of 10 for 108, including six wickets in the Black Caps' second innings capitulation for 196.

    But New Zealand captain Tim Southee has acknowledged it was Green's first innings 174 that took the game away from the home side.
