Black Caps coach Rob Walter has confessed he stuck to his book as his side's T20 World Cup future was up in the air

New Zealand sneaked into the semi finals after Pakistan failed to beat Sri Lanka by a large enough margin last night.

During the fateful fixture - Walter says he chose to confide in Ivan Cleary's biography, instead of the TV.

New Zealand will face any of South Africa, India or the West Indies on Thursday morning at Kolkata for a spot in the final - depending on results overnight.
