12 March 2019
Tait hasn't been to a games since Athens in 2004 and recently shifted back to New Zealand from the U.K..
He hopes to line up at a five-star event in Adelaide in November.
Tait says he's doing things slightly differently as he only has one horse, Havana, that is five-star quality.
He says he has all his eggs in one basket so will be keeping fingers crossed and hoping to be in a good position to start considering Tokyo.
Blyth Tait is competing at the Horse of the Year show, starting in Hastings today.
