The Black Sticks men and women will go to battle in a North versus South hockey tournament, doubling as an Olympic trial

They will play three games over four days to test their field play, physical conditioning and their ability to perform in a tournament format.

Men's coach Darren Smith says the teams are an even split.

The North versus South tournament is scheduled to begin on April 17.
