    The Black Sticks women have made a winning start to their last chance Olympic hockey qualifying tournament in India


    New Zealand have beaten Italy 3-nil - with Frances Davies scoring twice from penalty corners.

    Davies is encouraged by their showing.



    India were beaten 1-nil by the United States in their opening match.

    New Zealand need to finish in the top three of the eight team event to book their ticket at the Paris Games.
