A special honour for Kayla Whitelock as she continues her push for a fifth Olympic Games with the women's Black Sticks

The veteran has been made a member of the New Zealand order of merit in today's Queen's Birthday Honours.

Whitelock came out of retirement last year to push for the Tokyo Games, now delayed until next year.

She says the Covid-19 lockdown and delay has meant some changes, but there's light at the end of the tunnel.
