Eliza McCartney has reflected on missing the chance to nab a second Olympic pole vault medal

Eliza McCartney has reflected on missing the chance to nab a second Olympic pole vault medal

The Rio bronze medalist has finished sixth in Paris, the best of the three New Zealanders.

McCartney told Sky Sport she was simply pleased to return to the sport's biggest stage after years hobbled by injury.

Imogen Ayris and Olivia McTaggart were 12th after failing to get past 4.60 - but Ayris achieved a personal best.
