Jacobson, Dalton Papali'i and Ethan Blackadder will stay behind as the side heads to Japan tomorrow morning with various ailments.
While Papali'i and Blackadder are nursing hamstring and calf injuries respectively, coach Scott Robertson says Jacobson's the most serious.
Wellington flanker Peter Lakai has been called in, along with lock Josh Lord with Hoskins Sotutu unable to be called in due to a knee injury.
