Kiwi freeski history in Switzerland

Luca Harrington has become the first New Zealand Freeski Big Air world champion with a commanding victory in the final in Switzerland.

He put down a right triple corked 1980 safety grab for his first run, scoring a 92.00 before a switch right triple corked 1800 Esco Grab on the second run earned him a 96.75 for a combined score of 192.00 from two counting runs.

Knowing he already had the title as the last man to go in the third run, he reran and cleaned up his first run trick, boosting his winning margin to 7.75 points.
