Former Silver Ferns defender Georgia Tong has announced her retirement from elite netball

9 July 2025

The 30-year-old will step down from top level competition after turning out for the Magic in their final round ANZ Premiership match against the Pulse in Tauranga on Saturday.

Tong - who earned her lone test cap against England in 2021 - won last year's ANZ Premiership Players' Award - recognising her as the competition's overall best performer as voted on by the players.
