    Disappointment for New Zealand snowboarders Cool Wakushima and Tiaan Collins in their opening World Cup events of the season in Steamboat Colorado


    They have failed to advance from qualifying to the final in the men's and women's Big Air competition.

    Collins finished 16th overall in the men's comp with the top 10 advancing the the final, Wakushima finished 18th in the women's comp with the top eight making the final.

    Free skiers Ben Barclay and Luca Harrington begin their World Cup campaigns tomorrow.
