    Skier Mikaela Shiffrin has won the first of two mid-week women's World Cup giant slaloms in France


    She dominated after three rivals - including New Zealand's Alice Robinson - were sidelined by positive Covid tests.

    The American's 72nd career victory leaves her 10 short of the women's best mark set by Lindsey Vonn, but takes her to the top of the World Cup standings.
