    Encouraging signs for kiwi skier Alice Robinson a month out from the Winter Olympics in Beijing


    She's finished second at a F-I-S European Cup downhill race in France in what was her first foray at the discipline.

    It follows a career-best fourth finish in the Super-G event at the World Cup at St Moritz in December.

    Robinson will race in the downhill again later tonight.
