    Zoi Sadowski-Synnott's made a statement early on at the Beijing Winter Olympics


    The Kiwi snowboarder has made it through to tomorrow's slopestyle final, qualifying in top spot.

    The 20-year-old, who is a favourite to take out the event, blitzed the field with a 86.75 second run, which pushed her into first.

    Sadowski-Synnott told Sky Sport she's pleased everything came together on her second and final qualifying run.



    Fellow Kiwi Cool Wakushima has missed out on the final, placing 23rd.
