    Zoi Sadowski-Synnott has made history

    Zoi Sadowski-Synnott has made history


    The 20-year-old has won New Zealand's first ever gold medal at the Beijing Winter Olympics in the snowboard slopestyle.

    Sadowski-Synnott was sitting in the silver medal position before her third and final run.

    But she saved her best run to last - scoring 92.88.

    America's Julia Marino claimed silver and Australia's Tess Coady took bronze.

    Still to come, Tiarn Collins is in the men's slopestyle qualifiers, starting at 5:30.
