Wellington Phoenix coach Ufuk Talay's come to the defence of defender Louis Fenton after a sickening collision in their latest A-League football match

Wellington Phoenix coach Ufuk Talay's come to the defence of defender Louis Fenton after a sickening collision in their latest A-League football match

The 'Nix have lost 1-nil to Western Sydney, in a match which will be remembered for Wanderers striker Nicolai Muller suffering a suspected broken jaw, after a clash of heads with Fenton in the first half which saw him knocked out.

Talay's been asked if Fenton was lucky to only receive a yellow card for the mistimed aerial challenge.

The 'Nix drop to third on goals scored.
