Fan power has caused football's proposed European Super League to implode

Fan power has caused football's proposed European Super League to implode

Multiple UK media sources are claiming the 12 member clubs will meet tonight to scrap the concept after the stakeholder backlash.

The episode already has many questioning the disconnect between owners and those who dedicate support to teams week-in, week-out.

Manchester City have already withdrawn and Chelsea are preparing documentation to do the same.

The UK's Talksport reports Ed Woodward has resigned as chairman of Manchester United after the reaction.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has already spoken out.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson's also weighed in.
