The Wellington Phoenix have signed two Cantabrians for their first women's A-League football season

17-year-old Canterbury Pride defenders Kate Taylor and Zoe McMeeken will don the yellow strip.

Coach Gemma Lewis says it will be a learning year for the pair as they transition into the professional football space for the first time.

It brings the Phoenix women's squad to 10, with more announcements expected in the coming days.
