Wellington Phoenix defender Sam Sutton hopes to follow in the footsteps of his former flatmates in securing a life-changing overseas contract

The offseason has seen midfielder Ben Old join French Ligue 1 club Saint-Etienne, while goalkeeper Alex Paulsen signed with Premier League side Bournemouth FC, before being sent on loan to Auckland FC.

Sutton shares what he learned from living with the pair.
