    Impressive strikes from Kosta Barbarouses and Paulo Retre in either half handed Wellington a much-needed three points.

    But Italiano feels the Phoenix only showed glimpses of improvements.



    Meanwhile - Auckland FC's stumble has proved short-lived.

    Coming off a first ever loss - the league leading Black Knights have responded with a 4-1 thumping of defending champs the Central Coast Mariners in Gosford.
