    An unwelcome distraction for the A-League ahead of its penultimate weekend of playoffs action


    The football competition has been rocked by three arrests for alleged spot-fixing by players reportedly employed by Macarthur FC.

    Australian media have reported that the ringleader is former Phoenix captain Ulises Davila ... and the Daily Telegraph says All White Clayton Lewis is also involved.

    Wellington coach Giancarlo Italiano is just putting his men through their final preparations ahead of tomorrow's sold-out semifinal second-leg at home to the Melbourne Victory.
