    Ruud van Nistelrooy's spell in management with Manchester United has come to an end


    His departure has been announced on the day Ruben Amorim arrived as permanent boss.

    The former club striker had steered United to three wins and a draw in all competitions in an interim role after the sacking of Erik Ten Hag

    He had hoped to remain with the club.
