    Former Football Ferns skipper Ali Riley has appeared in what's likely to be the final football game of her career before retirement


    The 37-year-old came on in the 82nd minute during Angel City FC's 2-nil loss to Portland in the National Women's Soccer League - snapping a 463-day stint on the sidelines due to a chronic nerve issue.

    Speaking during her post-match retirement ceremony in front of her home Los Angeles fans, Riley offered a touching tribute to her club teammates.
