    Positive news on Auckland FC defender Nando Pijnaker's recovery from a serious ankle injury


    The All Whites centre-back is missing the start of the A-League campaign after having surgery in August.

    Coach Steve Corica says Pijnaker's returned to training and will play for Auckland FC's reserves team this week.



    In other injury news, Marlee Francois is out for Saturday's home game against Adelaide United with a calf issue, while Felipe Gallegos returns to the main squad from his niggle.
