Chelsea Handler feels "more confident" than ever before

The 49-year-old TV star has explained that she's gone through a "sexual awakening" in recent times, and she's now feeling more confident than she ever has done

Chelsea - who will celebrate her 50th birthday in February - told Parade magazine: "I am pretty into myself right now.

"It is true as you age, you become more confident, and I had a lot of confidence to begin with ... But as far as being sexy, you free up as a woman.

"There is a sexual awakening that happens, where you do not give a s*** about how you look or how you are being seen or the cellulite you have on the backs of your legs."

Chelsea's life is "awesome" at the moment and she doesn't have any worries about turning 50.

The actress reflected: "Everyone keeps asking me [how I feel about turning 50], and I feel like they want me to say something like, 'I can't believe I'm 50.' [But] this is awesome.

"My life is exactly what I hoped it would be - it's more than I hoped it would be. I had no idea what the possibilities were or that I could live a life like this and feel so free."

Chelsea also believes she's become more philosophical about life in recent years.

The comedy star explained that she's now "kind of unshakeable".

Chelsea said: "I don't lose my s*** like I used to when I was younger.

"It's not a big deal if something doesn't work out. It's not a big deal if the guy I'm dating breaks up with me; it really isn't. I'm a tree now. I'm kind of unshakeable."
