The Black Caps have once again held their nerve to win the third T20 international over the West Indies by nine runs in Nelson

The Black Caps have once again held their nerve to win the third T20 international over the West Indies by nine runs in Nelson

Batting first, New Zealand set a target of 178 in their innings, with opener Devon Conway top-scoring with 56.

The West Indies at one point in their chase, were struggling at 88 for 8 in the 13th over, before powering back to require just 12 runs in the last over.

The final wicket came on the penultimate ball, when a full toss from Kyle Jamieson led to Daryl Mitchell taking a catch at long off, to get the tourists all out for 168.

Spinner Ish Sodhi took 3 for 34 in a player-of-the-match performance.

The Black Caps lead the five-match series 2-1.
