Police say they're still hunting for others involved in a fatal attack on man in Auckland's Mount Wellington on Friday

A 21-year-old charged with murder and other offences is due to appear in the Auckland District Court tomorrow.

Police say the victim arrived at a medical centre on Lunn Ave around 12.15 Friday afternoon, with critical injuries after being attacked with a sharp object on Harris Road.

He died later in hospital.

Detective Inspector Scott Beard says the violence, particularly at that time of day, is concerning, and they've dedicated a large number of resources to tracking down those responsible.

He says they still want to hear from any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage.
