    Venezuela updates: Maduro arrives at Manhattan court, Trump doubles down on oil plans for Venezuela - as it happened

    Deposed Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife have been transferred to a New York courthouse as Donald Trump doubles down on oil plans for Venezuela — as it happened.


    Deposed Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has been transferred to a New York courthouse for his first appearance.

    He and his wife are set to face court on charges including alleged narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy and possession of weapons.

    Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that further strikes could be launched on Venezuela if interim leaders did not cooperate with his government.
