Chris Pratt's father-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger gifted him a giant portrait painting of himself dressed as Santa Claus with his three grandchildren

The Guardians of the Galaxy actor is married to Arnie's daughter Katherine and the couple have had two daughters and a son together since marrying in June 2019.

Chris has given a glimpse into what life is like with action legend Arnie, 78, and although he loves the Terminator star's generous and thoughtful festive present, he has no idea what to do with it when it isn't the holiday season.

Appearing on The Graham Norton Show, Pratt said: "Arnie's love language is going all out with his gifts. One of ours was a six by eight-foot portrait painting of our three children and him dressed as Santa Claus. It's the most beautiful portrait you've ever seen. It's very lifelike and it's very big. It was really thoughtful, but we're not sure what we are meant to do with it for the rest of year!"

During his interview with host Graham Norton, Pratt - who was previously married to Scary Movie actress Anna Faris - discussed his new thriller Mercy, in which he plays Detective Chris Raven who has 90 minutes to prove he did not murder his wife to the advanced AI judge he called for.

He said: "It is set in the near distant future and oddly the AI doesn't seem that farfetched. The story is 90 mins of real time. It is a very active movie and such an immersive experience - it keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is awesome, and the reaction to it has been really positive."

Pratt, 46, admitted that although he is an adopter of AI the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence in our lives does concern him.

He said: "I love AI and use it all the time but as a parent it freaks me out. But it is also so cool!"

Mercy also stars Annabelle Wallis, Kylie Rogers and Rebecca Ferguson as the AI Judge Maddox.

The Graham Norton Show airs on BBC One and iPlayer on Friday (09.01.25) at 10.40pm.
