Consumers could soon spot cocoa-free chocolate on shelves - as producers scramble to find cheaper alternatives

Consumers could soon spot cocoa-free chocolate on shelves - as producers scramble to find cheaper alternatives

A Rabobank report reveals manufacturers are exploring ways to replace cocoa beans - including lab-grown options.

Climate pressures have disrupted supply and made global cocoa prices soar.

RaboResearch analyst Paul Joules says there's been a slight recovery - but companies still hope alternatives will help.

He says prices have decreased a little- but are still at record highs.
