Yerin Ha wasn't disappointed she didn't get to wear as many extravagant ballgowns on Bridgerton as some of her fellow stars - because she didn't have to spend as much time in hair and makeup

The 28-year-old actress will make her debut as cleaner Sophie Baek in the fourth series of the Netflix show later this week.

While she is often dressed down in maid's attire in the series, Yerin was "fine" about not having to wear a corset on a daily basis.

Asked if it was "a little disappointing" she didn't get to wear glitzy outfits "all the time", she said on US talk show The View: "Not at all, actually. Because my makeup and hair and costume time was much shorter than the other girls.

"I didn't get to wear corsets as often as everyone else, and that I was fine by, [but] when I do, I really do."

Earlier this month, Australian actress Yerin admitted she "rarely" gets dressed up when she isn't working.

She told British Vogue magazine: "I'm not someone who strives for attention, and so I guess I can empathise with Sophie's hermit-crab instincts.

"I mean, I rarely even get dressed up. I'm always that girl in a T-shirt and jeans."

Yerin is hoping she won't feel "afraid to fail" when it comes to her fashion choices one day.

She added: "I go into a shop determined to buy something bold and colourful, and I still walk out with monochrome 'capsule' pieces.

"I hope I'll get to a point where I'm not afraid to 'fail' with fashion."

The star is "still figuring out what works" for her in terms of her red carpet looks.

She added: "The question for us is always, 'Does this look chic?' Some people nail the on-the-nose approach, but I'm still figuring out what works for me.

"I don't want to box myself into dressing to a theme."
