West Indies batsman Jermaine Blackwood claims he ignored sledging from England captain Ben Stokes while carrying his side to victory in the first cricket test

West Indies batsman Jermaine Blackwood claims he ignored sledging from England captain Ben Stokes while carrying his side to victory in the first cricket test

Blackwood came to the crease with his side at 27-for-three chasing 200.

He says Stokes chipped away, trying to entice the Jamaican into a risky shot but any remarks were dismissed.

Blackwood scored 95 in the West Indies' four-wicket win.

The West Indies lead the series 1-nil with the second test beginning tomorrow night.
