A massive influx of parcels during lockdown has taught New Zealand Post a few lessons

A massive influx of parcels during lockdown has taught New Zealand Post a few lessons

Online shopping went up 83 per cent over Level 3 compared to last year - initially increasing 105 per cent.

NZ Post's eCommerce Spotlight research shows the service received more than 3.5 million parcels in the first two weeks of Level 3.

Business marketing general manager Chris Wong says it proves a need to invest in parcel handling infrastructure.

He says what they learnt over lockdown will need to be applied to this year's holiday season shopping period.
