Warriors CEO Cameron George is hailing the return of Shaun Johnson as a perfect fit for the club

Warriors CEO Cameron George is hailing the return of Shaun Johnson as a perfect fit for the club

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The 30-year-old Johnson is returning, signing a two-year deal from 2022.

George anticipates the move is a fitting one for Johnson's personal life, and knows it'll benefit them on field.

There's no time limit on the Silver Lake deal.

New Zealand Rugby are butting heads with the Players Association over the 387 million-dollar deal.

NZR chief executive Mark Robinson says all parties want the best possible outcome, but at the moment, there's no fixed timeframe.

Oly Whites coach Danny Hay's managed to rustle together some intense training sessions for his players, as they turn their attention to the Tokyo Olympics.

He's named his 18-man squad today, which includes Chris Wood, Michael Boxall, Winston Reid and Liberato Cacace, who are all based overseas.

Hay says there's a group of players in New Zealand he's been putting through the ringer.
