    It's a greyhound takeover across the country, as enthusiasts are gathered for the great global walk


    Owners are together in locations from Auckland to Queenstown, as Greyhounds for Pets celebrates its 18th birthday.

    Spokesperson Emelia Lake says the dogs will are all dressed to the nines in this years, theme of flags.

    She says with adoption numbers and donations down in the past year, it's crucial as ever.

    Lake says it gives a chance to give them a platform, to help give them homes.
