Auckland Police have charged three people with kidnapping and manslaughter - over a body found floating in a bag in Gulf Harbour

Auckland Police have charged three people with kidnapping and manslaughter - over a body found floating in a bag in Gulf Harbour

A local fisherman found the Chinese woman wrapped in a bag in March - later identified as 70-year-old Shulai Wang.

A man and a woman in their 30s, and a 61-year old woman, were arrested at an Orewa address this morning - and are due in court tomorrow.

The younger two are also charged with providing false immigration information, and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Acting Detective Inspector Tim Williams says this has been a complex and long-running enquiry - and it's far from over.
