    Auckland's mayor is optimistic councillors will support his proposed shake-up of council controlled organisations


    Wayne Brown's released his draft budget .

    It proposes major reforms including scrapping property management arm Eke Panuku, reducing Tataki Auckland Unlimited's roles and taking over AT back-office functions.

    Brown says he hopes he's already convinced Council.

    He says when he stood for mayor, one of his five platforms was taking back control form council organisations.
