Another stellar Bryce Cotton display hasn't been enough to prevent Perth suffering a 121-111 loss to the Illawarra Hawks in basketball's Australian NBL

Another stellar Bryce Cotton display hasn't been enough to prevent Perth suffering a 121-111 loss to the Illawarra Hawks in basketball's Australian NBL

The Wildcats point-guard backed up his record setting 59-point effort in Sunday's win over the Breakers with a 40 point performance - only for the visitors to pull away in the final quarter of the high-scoring clash.

Melbourne City have jumped to a provisional third on the ladder in football's A-League after a 4-1 trouncing of the Roar in Brisbane.

Brisbane remain planted to the foot of the table with just one point from six games so far this season.
